thankful

Did you have a lovely Thanksgiving?  Did you spend it with friends or family?  Did you spend it alone, in a moment of calm and serenity before the holiday frenzy?

We drove out to Las Vegas to spend the holiday with my parents.  We gorged on Brazilian meat and dined at Chinois – I say dined because the portions were very, uh, simple but delicious.

Every year there are more things to be thankful for.  I suppose I’m lucky that my life is that way.  I’m grateful for my friends and family.  I’m thankful for the dogs that keep our house full of noise (thought I could do without all that fur).  I’m blessed to have someone who loves me and takes care of me when I don’t even think I need it.  And I’m happy to know puppies who make me feel welcome in their home, even though I’m not there very often.
