Okay, I didn’t really get new roller skates. But that song pops into my head every now and then for no reason at all. Of course, when I think of it, I also think of Roller Girl, from Boogie Nights, because when that song plays she’s, um, auditioning Mark Wahlberg. It really makes no sense why that song would get stuck in my head since we don’t have the movie playing (or any other “movie”) and I don’t think the song has been on the radio. It’s just weird.
But! I did get a new purse! I totally bought the same purse as Darlene, but I think it’ll be okay. I had the best intentions of buying some other purse, except the other purses weren’t as cute. This is probably one of the largest purses I’ve owned, but it’s also kind of cool because I can fit everything in this bag. Even my day planner, if I was so inclined. It’s made out of seatbelts, which means it’s sturdy and easy to clean. I’m not really a Gary Baseman fan, per se, but I think his characters are cute. Even if the deer-girl appears to be eating the deer she’s holding. Is that what’s going on? Because that would make sense since the bag is called “Venison”, and when you eat deer they call it venison, not “deer”.
Cami also bought a seatbelt purse. I’m such an instigator.
It’s a pretty expensive purse (I think all my purses are a little expensive), but you get a discount at Zappos, you earn United miles if you shop through the Mileage Mall link, and I put it on my United Visa, so I get miles there, too. So, while it wasn’t a necessary purchase, at least I feel like I got the best bargain available to me, ha!

Is it just me or does that keychain thing around the handle flop around a wee too much? I’m trying to find a way to rectify it.
Yes. You instigated it. And mine gave me a little bit of a shoulder ache while carrying it around at the swap meet the other day. Plus I’m sure people think I’m totally into half-naked girls. But whatever. It’s cute.
Rollergirl – yes, you have my full attention!!!
Maybe I just haven’t loaded it too much yet, but my shoulder doesn’t think the purse is too heavy. Of course, I also haven’t walked around with it all day. It spends most of its time in my office… like me! The keychain thing does swing around a bit and sometimes gets into the purse, getting me confused when I’m looking for my real keys. Obviously, the solution is to walk slower and stop swinging things around, ha!
